If your garden has brought the poet out in you, backyardgardener.com has a site where you can read others garden poetry and submit your own. It also has a range of services an encyclopaedia and forum.

Organic Lea is a small food growing cooperative in the lea Valley E4. Their website tells you how to get involved and what’s on. Saturday September 8th, is when they are holding their 3rd annual celebration of local food, at the Hornbeam centre, 458, Hoe street E17. 10am-5pm. See their website for the full programme.

East London Gardenershas a site where there is information about events, including the apple day festival which they run at the Vestry House museum in Walthamstow. They also hold an annual seed exchange.

The RHS, Royal Horticultural Societyhas a comprehensive website, including a advice on a range of garden problems, information about their gardens and flower shows and a new gardening club for families and children. They also run a photographic competition and the Annual Britain in Bloom competition.

The National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardeners, has a membership scheme which includes a magazine, information and advice, a discounted seed scheme and where to find an allotment.

If you want to see how other gardeners garden there are many garden blogs on line. digindirt.com has a collection of garden blogs from around the world, giving a whole new dimension to gardening. Their featured blog was from a Caribbean Island, Nicole in Trinidad, when I looked. You can also add your own blog.
