It can be hard to keep an idea of the larger nature of things, as much as we may know that Tesco is the largest UK retailer it becomes far more knowable when visualised on something like this map. It asks us why this should be the case,It highlights the tensions between our individualistic society and the global mass market it has created. Our current market requires that we aspire to the same goals, that we want the same things even as it sells us the idea of being entirely unique and separate from both anyone else and the planet we live on.
