Creativity from Within
Sundays from 8th November – 29th November

Ancient traditions have long known that colour has emotional and spiritual qualities. During the course various traditions will be introduced which describe the potential effects of colour on our artwork and states of mind. Developing and exploring personal responses to colour, using a range of materials, painting, drawing and mixed media. Choosing a colour palette and working creatively with those colours to develop our art practise and as a tool to increase self-awareness.Using reflection, meditation methods and Colour Breathing to deepen our experience and response to colour.

Drawing, New Ways of Seeing
Mondays from 23rd November – 7th December

This course takes ideas from the Eastern tradition on the nature of perception and aims to intoduce the student to the role of seeing as an active and changing process that can lead to new creative insights and directions. Using drawing methods and exercises we will explore our own process of seeing. Using a variety of objects and meditation and reflection exercises we will deepen our understanding of the perception process.
